Some refer to it as fly-over country, but to us, it’s home. The concept behind 4 Taps, LLC originated in Minnesota, a place we hold dear. Our inaugural venture will take its first steps here. “The Rusty Bumblebee” will embody our local pride, our connection to our roots and community, and the conviction that wherever this name appears across the country, its origins trace back to here.
THE RUSTY PATCHED BUMBLEBEE
Our name pays homage to the Minnesota State Bee, the Rusty Patched Bumblebee, a species currently facing endangerment. Despite its status, there’s still a chance you might spot this bee in your own backyard. The Rusty Patched Bumblebee, once widespread across the eastern United States and upper Midwest, has experienced a significant decline, leading to its listing as federally endangered in 2017. Its survival is crucial, not only for the natural ecosystems it supports but also for the pollination of various crops vital to our food security.
